Background of the Study
Financial reporting plays a crucial role in enhancing the transparency and accountability of small businesses, which in turn contributes to their reputation. In Gombe LGA, small businesses are the backbone of the local economy, contributing to employment and poverty reduction. However, many small businesses face challenges in managing their finances effectively, which often results in poor financial reporting practices.
